الرحمن هو ذو الرحمة العامة التي وسعت كل شيء في الدنيا، للمؤمن والكافر، وهي صفة لا تُطلق على غير الله بهذا الإطلاق.

Ar-Rahman is the One whose general mercy embraces everything in this world — believer and non-believer alike. This absolute sense of the Name is used only of Allah.
